Jewelry is a talisman; a marker of rites of passage, personal armor, and portable sculpture.
I’m a decadent minimalist. I draw heavily on the Memento Mori and Vanitas traditions in art, responding to them by inverting them and reconciling oppositions. Rather than sanitizing and denying death, and rejecting worldly pleasures, I respond to the fear of mortality by highlighting the beauty, cleanliness, and life that is inherent in the cyclical process of life, death, decay, and renewal.
I proudly fabricate everything by hand in my studio in Detroit, MI. I happily accept commissions. It is an absolute pleasure for me to collaborate with you in making meaningful, one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect the personality, intention, and desires of the wearer.
